Direct from Zhejiang Laysun Magnetics' state-of-the-art facility. Engineered for optimal flux density and operational safety across industrial machinery, robotic handling, and precision motors.
Empowering global industry with cutting-edge magnetic technologies, specialized rare earth processing, and massive manufacturing efficiency since 1999.
Founded at the dawn of the new millennium, Zhejiang Laysun Magnetics Ltd. has rapidly transformed from a high-tech visionary project into a globally recognized benchmark manufacturer. Our modern factory, encompassing a sprawling 100,000 square meters, is situated in the high-growth industrial cluster of Suining, Sichuan. This geographic positioning leverages close access to upstream raw rare earth separation bases, ensuring consistent supply chain stability even during volatile market cycles.
Over the past 25 years, our technical teams have focused strictly on the production of high-performance rare earth NdFeB permanent magnets, switchable electro-permanent magnetic structures, and intricate magnetic assemblies. With an annual capacity of 5,000 metric tons, we bridge the gap between complex research lab prototypes and high-volume commercial production.
Step inside our facilities to observe the precision-controlled sintering, automated wire-cutting, anti-oxidation plating processes, and rigorous QA verification.
Our commitment to defect-free magnet production is supported by coordinate measuring machines (CMM), Hysteresisgraphs for verifying coercivity and remanence, and specialized salt spray testing chambers for checking electroplated coatings (Ni-Cu-Ni, epoxy, and rubber coatings). Through mechanical automation and continuous monitoring, Zhejiang Laysun Magnetics ensures that magnets maintain structural integrity and magnetic performance under extreme industrial conditions.

Unlike typical permanent magnets, switchable permanent magnets manipulate magnetic flux paths, allowing operators to turn magnetic forces on and off without continuous electric current.
Switchable permanent magnets use a clever geometric layout of multiple magnetic blocks or a combination of high-coercivity permanent magnets (such as NdFeB) and low-coercivity materials (like AlNiCo). By applying a brief electric pulse (in electro-permanent variations) or manually rotating a secondary magnet (in mechanical variations), the magnetic field is either routed externally (turning the magnet "ON") or shunted internally (turning the magnet "OFF").
| Property Group | Material / Type | Remanence (Br) | Coercivity (Hcb) | Max Energy Product (BH max) | Max Temp Range |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High Power NdFeB | Sintered N52 | 1.43 - 1.48 T | ≥ 812 kA/m | 50 - 53 MGOe | 80 °C |
| High Temp NdFeB | Sintered 42EH | 1.28 - 1.34 T | ≥ 955 kA/m | 40 - 43 MGOe | 200 °C |
| Bonded NdFeB | Isotropic Multi-Pole | 0.60 - 0.70 T | ≥ 400 kA/m | 8 - 10 MGOe | 120 °C |
| Switchable Assy | Electro-Permanent Chuck | Variable Surface Flux | Internally Compensated | Custom Magnetic Circuit | Up to 150 °C |
Switchable and permanent magnets serve as key components across high-performance, critical sectors worldwide.
Switchable magnetic grippers allow robotic arms to pick and place heavy steel plates, castings, and sheet metal parts securely. If power is cut, the magnetic hold is maintained, preventing dropped-load accidents on factory floors.
Micro-switchable magnetic assemblies are used by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to securely hold cargo during flight, then release it upon delivery using only a quick pulse of electrical energy.
Sintered NdFeB magnets with high coercivity and thermal stability are utilized in permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM), helping to maximize vehicle driving range and power density.
Brushless motors in industrial drills, grinders, and cutting machinery rely on segment magnets to provide smooth rotational torque and reduce energy consumption.
Thin neodymium ring magnet structures are integrated into smartphone cases and magnetic charging interfaces to ensure precise alignment and secure docking.
High-efficiency compressors in modern refrigerators and inverter air conditioners rely on NdFeB magnets to meet strict energy standards.
Ensuring reliable raw material sourcing and rapid global distribution through strategic production locations.
By splitting operations between Suining, Sichuan (sintering facility) and our headquarters in Hangzhou, Zhejiang (machining, surface treatment, QA, and sales), Zhejiang Laysun Magnetics operates a resilient rare earth supply chain. Upstream heavy and light rare earth elements are processed directly in Sichuan, shielding us from sudden raw material shortages. Finished products are then shipped via Hangzhou's logistics hubs to reach global markets efficiently.
This layout ensures that our clients, ranging from European automotive Tier-1 suppliers to American machinery builders, receive consistent shipments matching their manufacturing schedules.
We implement strict quality control procedures to meet international B2B requirements, ensuring our magnets perform reliably under demanding industrial conditions.
Our products conform to major international standards. Zhejiang Laysun Magnetics maintains compliance certifications for API 6D, API 607, CE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. These quality management systems ensure trace-ability for every batch, from raw neodymium metal to final plated assemblies.
We perform helium leak detection, high-temperature decay testing, and micro-crack examinations under ultrasonic imaging to ensure the long-term reliability of our magnet assemblies in subsea valves, explosion-proof environments, and wind turbine applications.
