Axial Magnetization

What is the difference between isotropic and anisotropic magnetization?
Isotropic magnets can be magnetized in any direction after processing because their powder particles are randomly aligned during manufacture. Anisotropic magnets are pressed under a strong magnetic field during production, aligning the crystal structure. This makes them much stronger but restricts magnetization to a single pre-determined vector.
Why is radial magnetization more difficult and expensive to manufacture?
Radial magnetization requires specialized anisotropic alignments during pressing.
