View DetailsFounded in 1999, Zhejiang Laysun Magnetics Ltd. has evolved from an engineering pioneer into a national high-tech manufacturing enterprise. Our specialization lies in the development, magnetic simulation, and production of high-performance rare-earth Neodymium (NdFeB) permanent magnets and complex magnet assemblies.
Operating a state-of-the-art facility spanning 100,000 square meters in Sichuan, we handle the entire production pipeline. Our manufacturing utilizes advanced vacuum induction melting (VIM), strip casting, hydrogen decrepitation, jet milling, automated alignment pressing, vacuum sintering, and precision CNC grinding. This guarantees our Swedish clients an uninterrupted, direct-factory supply chain.
Sweden is at the forefront of the European green transition and digital manufacturing. We align our magnetic technology to support the local industrial infrastructure.
From Gothenburg's automotive clusters to new battery gigafactories, Swedish vehicle design demands high-coercivity NdFeB. We provide custom rotor assemblies, electric power steering (EPS) magnets, and high-temperature motor magnets (operating up to 240°C) with low irreversible flux loss characteristics.
Sweden’s clean grid transition relies heavily on offshore wind and hydro power. Direct-drive generators demand high-performance arc segment magnets. Our specialized multi-layer nickel-copper-epoxy coatings provide resistance against moisture and marine-grade salt-spray corrosion for over 1000 hours.
In Norrland's mineral mines and advanced packaging factories, material handling systems require continuous performance. Our custom industrial magnetic lifters, pot magnets, and sensor magnet rings are built to operate in dust, high vibrations, and sub-zero temperatures.
At Zhejiang Laysun Magnetics Ltd., we help design engineers balance coercivity, energy density, and thermal management. Our core technical capability addresses three fundamental design challenges:
Due to the high cost and volatile supply chain of heavy rare earths (HREE) like Dysprosium (Dy) and Terbium (Tb), we utilize Grain Boundary Diffusion (GBD) technology. By diffusing Dy or Tb specifically along the grain boundaries instead of alloying it throughout the bulk material, we achieve high temperature ratings (up to 200°C) while reducing overall heavy rare earth content by up to 70%.
To optimize magnetic circuits prior to physical manufacturing, our Hangzhou engineering office utilizes finite element analysis (FEA) software. We calculate structural force distributions, demagnetization behavior under reverse fields, and eddy current loss vectors in laminated magnet assemblies.
Neodymium magnets are inherently prone to oxidation. We offer custom barrier coatings: Everlube, Parylene C, chemically inert Epoxies, structural Rubber-Coatings, and classic multi-layer Ni-Cu-Ni electroplating. All processes are continually validated through automated salt-spray chambers and highly accelerated stress tests (HAST).
Our QA framework complies with strict aerospace and automotive parameters. Our in-house laboratory is equipped with:
We support the strict supply-chain and ecological compliance guidelines mandated by Swedish and EU authorities.
Every batch of raw NdFeB blocks and finished assemblies is certified cadmium-free, lead-free, and compliant with EU REACH SVHC restrictions, backed by independent SGS test reports.
Our factories operate under audited ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 environmental systems. For automotive partners, we deliver PPAP Level 3 documentation, FMEA analysis, and design reviews.
To align with Sweden's carbon neutrality target, we provide energy usage accounting and raw material tracking, assisting OEM purchasing teams with Scope 3 carbon compliance calculations.

For custom NdFeB magnet assemblies requiring custom tooling or specialized machining, the manufacturing prototype phase ranges between 15 to 25 days. This includes CNC machining of soft iron housings, magnet sintering, precision assembly, and magnetizing. Shipping via air freight to Stockholm-Arlanda (ARN) or Göteborg Landvetter (GOT) takes an additional 5 to 7 days, while maritime cargo container shipments to Gothenburg Port require 30 to 35 days.
The Baltic Sea environment exhibits complex brackish conditions that accelerate the oxidation of raw NdFeB alloys. To counter this, we recommend enclosing the NdFeB core in hermetically sealed 316L stainless steel casings, or utilizing a multi-layer protective coating of Ni-Cu-Ni + Epoxy or a high-durability rubber jacket coating. All marine-grade products undergo ASTM B117 salt spray chamber validation to ensure performance integrity over continuous exposure.
Standard Neodymium (NdFeB) grades lose magnetic strength starting at 80°C. However, by substituting dysprosium (Dy) or terbium (Tb) through alloy modifications and grain boundary diffusion, we manufacture high-coercivity grades (such as EH and AH series) that maintain stable magnetic flux values up to 220°C and 240°C respectively. These configurations are ideal for high-stress automotive drivetrains and generator setups.
A raw magnet emits magnetic flux lines uniformly in all directions. When installed inside a precision-machined soft iron pot, the steel cup redirects the flux lines from the rear face of the magnet back to the working face. This concentration of flux creates a closed magnetic circuit, significantly increasing the perpendicular clamping force (up to 4-5 times stronger) compared to an un-housed magnet.
Our raw material processing facility is situated in Sichuan, China—one of the world’s leading epicenters for rare-earth mining and refining. This proximity grants us a secure, direct-mine supply of Neodymium-Praseodymium (NdPr) oxides. Furthermore, we maintain rolling 3-month raw metal reserves and offer long-term fixed price agreements for our qualified Swedish contract customers to mitigate price volatility.
