Screw-in neodymium magnets represent a hybrid solution combining the extreme power density of rare earth elements with the structural certainty of mechanical fastening. Standard neodymium magnets are inherently brittle and cannot easily be subjected to local mechanical stress. To counteract this, screw-in variants are built with specialized countersunk or counterbored channels. These channels enable countersunk or flat-head screws to attach the magnet directly to plastic, wood, or non-magnetic alloys without fracturing the underlying sintered crystal matrix.
