To counteract this, screw-in variants are built with specialized countersunk or counterbored channels. These channels enable countersunk or flat-head screws to attach the magnet directly to plastic, wood, or non-magnetic alloys without fracturing the underlying sintered crystal matrix.

Our manufacturing facility leverages vacuum induction melting (VIM) and close-loop helium powder milling to ensure high coercivity and limit structural micro-cracks. Sintered NdFeB is highly brittle. Standard industrial torque drivers should not be set to maximum limits when fastening directly against the bare magnet. For structural mounting, we recommend using plastic or rubber washers under the screw head to distribute shear stress, or opting for our steel-encased pot magnets (magnetic cups). The steel housing absorbs the mechanical installation forces, preventing the magnet from cracking.
2. How does temperature affect screw-in neodymium magnets over time? +

4. How can I ensure the magnetic pole orientation is correct for matching pairs? +
If you plan to mount two screw-in magnets to attract each other, you must order matching pairs of North (N) and South (S) poles. If you mount them against a steel surface, the orientation does not matter. We mark or paint poles upon request to facilitate seamless assembly lines.
